Learning piano as an adult is my small rebellion against the vibe-coding age, where it is tempting to wait for AI to do everything and just nod along. I want immediate, physical feedback: wrong note, instant shame; right chord, instant dopamine. There is no loading bar, no “regenerate response,” only my fingers and the keys. I was inspired by a joking but sharp remark from an MIT PhD who once said: if we can learn to type fluently on a keyboard with 104 keys, why do we suddenly panic in front of a piano with 88 keys. That line stuck with me. If I can debug code at 2 a.m., I can surely survive C major without calling an AI for help.
